WFD goes Mutual Aid into Hillsdale for a Structure Fire 10/21/25

In the early morning hours of October 21st, the fire department was dispatched mutual aid into Hillsdale, on a box alarm assignment, for a reported house fire. Truck 1 arrived as the 2nd due truck company and immediately made entry to the second floor to begin searches and opening up the walls and ceilings to find the fire. The truck company also had a secondary crew, on the outside, that immediately began throwing up ground ladders to windows for secondary egress and entry. Shortly into the incident, members were forced to bail out of the house as fire pushed down from the attic area into the second floor, consuming the available space around the firefighters. All firefighters were quickly accounted for and only a few were found to have minor injuries. Incoming mutual aid companies took over attacking the fire from the initial companies and within approximately 1 hour the fire was knocked and extensive overhaul was completed. Good job by everyone.
