Booker St. Vehicle Fire 2/17/24

On Saturday, February 17th, just after 10:30 am the fire department was dispatched to Booker street for a reported truck fire with extension. Upon arrival of the first due unit, it was determined that a large vehicle was burning with exposure issues to a structure. The working fire assignment was called while engine 1 arrived on seen, secured a water supply and stretched a hose line to knock down the fire. All Westwood fire units went to work ensuring that there was extension to the building, both on the roof and inside the structure, and that the fire was knocked down quickly and efficiently. We would like to thank the River Vale, Emerson, and other mutual aid departments that were dispatched and assisted with the fire. Good job by all.
