At 08:05 hrs, The Fire Department was requested to the middle school on third ave for reported smoke coming from the roof. While operating at a CO alarm on the other side of town, Engine 1-2 responded from there. Chief 15-1 arrived assumed command and confirmed a possible fire on the roof.  Truck 1 arrived and went to the roof to start opening up. The engine company stretched a line and reported the fire was in between the roof and the ceiling. Crews operated for approx. 1 hr and 30 mins.  Rescue 1, and Utility 1 also responded. The fire was determined to be from a hole cut earlier in the week that sparked and started smoldering.
